“When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in.That’s what this storm’s all about.”   -Haruki Murakami

Is therapy right for me?

What it’s like now…

You may be feeling sad, lonely, angry, overwhelmed, or just plain stuck. There might be one thing, or many things impacting the way you move through the world. Perhaps it is easy to identify what barriers or traumatic experiences are affecting you, but you may also have no idea. Maybe you have been using substances to help you get by, or you and your partner are having the same fight… again. While there doesn’t seem to be a clear path to change, you have a nagging suspicion that things could probably feel better than they do right now.

What we can do…

Acknowledging that we cannot face life’s challenges alone and making the decision to ask for help is one of the most scary and courageous actions a person can take. My goal is to help clients gain better insight into their experiences while empowering a greater capacity for self-compassion and change. Our time together will provide the opportunity for healing, the adoption of less harmful coping skills, establishing a closer connection with yourself and others, and an overall improved quality of life.
